June 10, 2026 – Investing in the Early Years: A Global Technical Financing Forum took place from May 6-8 in Kigali, Rwanda. It was three engaging and action-packed days of discussion, inspiration, and collaboration. The Forum brought together a remarkable community—238 participants from 39 countries across six continents, with 17 governments represented from Africa and Asia. The high level of engagement provided diverse perspectives and experiences that facilitated achievement of the Forum’s objectives.
The Forum was just one milestone on the journey to unlock financing for young children. This community helped to plan the agenda for the Forum and now this town hall will be an opportunity to debrief and reflect together as well as discuss next steps. We call upon you to help take the Financing Toolbox for the Early Years into its next phase: moving from a robust technical framework into structured country applications that strengthen real financing decisions at different levels.
