On June 17, 2026, health leaders, policymakers, and practitioners came together for a webinar on strengthening child development through primary health care. The session explored how PHC systems can better support nurturing care during the first 1,000 days of life, featuring the launch of practical tools and guidance from R4D, insights from UNICEF and WHO, and country perspectives from Kenya, Mozambique, and Tanzania. Discussions highlighted policies, partnerships, and program approaches that can improve child development outcomes in low- and middle-income countries.
