On September 2, 2026, the Early Childhood Development Action Network (ECDAN) and Worldreader, with support from the Bezos Family Foundation, brought together global leaders, practitioners, and families to explore the intersection of health, early childhood development, and reading literacy. The webinar highlighted research on family reading engagement, the role of health-sector touchpoints in nurturing care, and approaches to supporting children by supporting caregivers. It also launched Worldreader’s All Families Reading Challenge, a multilingual campaign promoting family engagement, joyful reading, and school readiness through BookSmart.
