October 28, 2024 – The first-ever Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children will take place in Bogotá, Colombia, on November 7 and 8, 2024. The event brings together global leaders to commit to concrete actions for child well-being. A key focus is on parent and caregiver support, recognized as a critical strategy within the INSPIRE framework for reducing violence. Supported by the governments of Colombia and Sweden, alongside the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence Against Children, and the World Health Organization (WHO), this ministerial conference aims to catalyze policy reforms and resource mobilization to end violence against children.
