March 2018 – This article published in the Zero to Three Journal looks at how to address the needs of young children with disabilities and their families, who are among the most underserved and marginalized in all regions of the world. Sketched out in the article are concepts and tools that engage diverse stakeholders in the mission to “leave no one behind” through inclusive early childhood development interventions. Concepts and tools such as the Early Childhood Quality Inclusion Profile (ECQUIP) and “triple-twin-tracking” facilitate holistic, comprehensive, and equitable policies and practices to provide nurturing care for all children.
