July 30, 2024 – The recent WHO/UNICEF Global Report on Children with Developmental Disabilities provides new impetus for transforming policies, programs, and services to better meet the needs and rights of young children with developmental disabilities and their families. Country exemplars of inclusive early childhood development (IECD) will be presented to promote these transformations and to foster donor commitments to young children with developmental disabilities as we strive to reach SDG goals and leave no one behind.
During this webinar, we:
- Provided high-level overview of WHO/UNICEF Global Report on Children with Developmental Disabilities and the specific implications for inclusive ECD
- Highlighted country examples of integrating ECD into policies and service delivery targeting children with developmental delays and disabilities
- Mobilized partners around a set of shared policy priorities
