May 6, 2025 – Typically, the United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP) tends to dominate much of the advocacy attention on climate change. However, there are critical policy discussions happening at the country-level that will inform how countries respond to the changing climate and how those strategies will be financed.
As Early Childhood Development (ECD) practitioners and advocates, we must ensure that decision makers in government are addressing the specific needs of young children and their caregivers in climate action plans and policies. Yet the entry-points and advocacy opportunities at the country-level are not always transparent and may be difficult to navigate for many advocates.
During this webinar in our series on the intersection of early childhood and climate change, we provided a recap of the key takeaways from COP and discussed advocacy strategies to influence decision makers at the national level.
