May 30, 2025 – This Alan Turing Institute research combines surveys of children, parents and teachers with school workshops to examine how generative AI affects children’s wellbeing, learning and creativity. It finds roughly a quarter of children aged 8–12 have used generative AI (mostly ChatGPT) and surfaces parent and teacher concerns about content exposure and critical thinking.
