October 2023 – Women, Business and the Law has a new indicator on childcare and is tracking the laws governing provision, subsidies, and quality of childcare services for children under age three in 190 countries worldwide. The webpage links to the data, working papers, blogs, and regional profiles that build upon and share the data collected since 2021.
The goal of these materials is to raise awareness, promote peer-to-peer learning, and highlight opportunities for reform. This work is supported by the World Bank’s Invest in Childcare Initiative.
