August 2025 – The World Bank released a report that explores the interdependent relationship between the care economy and disability inclusion, and emphasizes the mutual benefits of a holistic approach to care and support systems. The audience for this report includes policymakers, researchers, and practitioners involved in international development, disability inclusion, and care economy strategies, particularly those working within or in collaboration with the World Bank and other multilateral organizations. The report aims to offer a comprehensive overview of disability inclusion in the care economy, as well as the barriers to and strategies for advancing disability-inclusive care investments.
