March 2023 – UNICEF, in collaboration with Prevention Collaborative and Equimundo, has released a series of four evidence briefs designed to explain how parenting programs can prevent family violence against children and women. The briefs include:
- Why it is important
- What gender-transformative programs look like
- How to adapt programs to address both types of violence
- How to measure change
They are designed to equip practitioners with tools and rationale to have an intentional focus on preventing violence against children and against women in parenting programs. The briefs are available in English, Spanish, and French. UNICEF also held a webinar to launch guidance on measuring reduction in April 2025.
