April 29, 2026–UNICEF and the Van Leer Foundation have launched a practical framework to help governments and partners navigate parenting in a rapidly changing digital world. Grounded in children’s rights and informed by global evidence, the Playbook on Digital Innovation for Supporting Families provides a shared foundation for aligning policies, financing, workforce development, and service delivery around one common goal: empowering parents with trusted information, skills, community connections, and access to services through human-centered digital tools.
It adopts a multisectoral and systems approach across four priority areas—providing trusted guidance, strengthening family skills, fostering connections, and enabling service access—recognizing that digital support integrates health, education, social protection, child protection, and community services.
