September 2020 – UNICEF, the World Bank, and UNESCO have published a guidance note that outlines key principles and practical measures for decision-makers to consider before, during and after the transition from closure to reopening in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. It focuses on safe operations in ECE settings, staff training and support, child well-being and development, and parental communication and support.
There are also additional resources, developed by UNICEF, for continuing professional staff support and enhancing communications with teachers and administrators, parents and primary caregivers, and decision-makers.
