April 2025 – UNICEF Innocenti released this Global Research Agenda that provides a strategic framework to close evidence gaps, drive disability-inclusive research, and ensure the meaningful engagement of children with disabilities and their representative organizations. It was developed through a participatory process and reflects including children and youth with disabilities, organizations of persons with disabilities, researchers, policymakers, and donors.
This report presents Research Agenda, outlining:
- Key research priorities that address urgent evidence gaps
- Six core implementation pillars to strengthen disability research and uptake.
- A strategy to translate research findings into real-world policy and investment decisions.
The seven sections of the report provide a structured approach to embedding disability inclusion into global research and evidence generation and includes a clear call to action.
