July 2023 – This article published in BMJ Paediatrics Open by Global Research on Developmental Disabilities Collaborators (GRDDC) examines the progress made on the SDG commitment to leave no one behind by UNICEF in the last decade as the lead UN agency for child health and development globally. With the 10th anniversary of the action plans in 2013 for disability-inclusive development and with only 7 years to the end of the SDGs, the authors suggest that UNICEF should consider recalibrating its Disability Inclusion Policy and Strategy for tangible and sustainable impact in this target population of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children in low and middle-income countries.
