December 30, 2024 – The Aga Khan Foundation developed a Competency Framework that outlines the competencies required of health workers to support caregivers with children ages 0 to 3 years in promoting their child’s overall development. The Competency Framework focuses on the three components of nurturing care: responsive caregiving, opportunities for early learning, safety and security, and caregiver’s well-being. The document also outlines the roles and responsibilities of mentors, supervisors, and trainers.
