August 7, 2025 – WHO has published a compendium that consolidates key evidence, tools and resources to support the practical implementation of respectful maternal and newborn care across different contexts. WHO has been working for a decade to prevention of disrespect and abuse during facility-based childbirth. This compendium is designed to help program managers understand mistreatment and respectful care and implement changes in practice.
