April 2025 – Alana Institute published a policy paper that examines how child rights has been and can be incorporated into climate actions and negotiations under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The paper aims to identify historical references to children in UN climate change conference decisions from 1995 to 2024 and then articulate concrete recommendations and advocacy strategies for integrating children’s rights into the UNFCCC negotiation agenda going forward.
