Global Leaders Gather during UNGA to Discuss Collective Action to Help Children, Families, and Caregivers Facing Crisis

September 15, 2023 – As global leaders gather at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York next week, the Early Childhood Development Action Network (ECDAN) will host a global roundtable on September 19 with partners to discuss how to drive collective action to address the mounting challenges facing children, families, and caregivers around the world.

Nearly half of the world’s children—an astounding one billion youngsters—live in countries that are extremely vulnerable to the impacts of conflicts, violence, and climate change. As a result, increased poverty, food insecurity, learning losses, displacement and migration of children have driven the Sustainable Development Goals off track. ECDAN and partners working for children and their families will gather to share diverse perspectives, expertise, resources, and multi-stakeholders to leverage each other’s efforts to rebuild a world where every child can thrive.

WHAT: Global Roundtable: On the Future of Young Children and their Families in a Changed World
