WEBINAR: Transforming Early Childhood Education Through Play-Based Learning and Teacher Training

On November 18, 2026, this webinar will showcase successful transformations in early childhood education practice that move away from rigid, lecture-based instruction toward structured play-based learning. Through examples from two award-winning programs operating in different contexts, speakers will discuss program design, teacher training, implementation, results, relatively low-cost delivery, and lessons for adaptation and adoption elsewhere.

Objectives and expected outcomes:

  • Present practical examples of successful transformations toward play-based early learning.
  • Examine teacher-training models that equip educators to facilitate structured play effectively.
  • Share evidence on implementation, results, costs, and scalability across different contexts.
  • Identify practical lessons for policymakers, practitioners, and organizations seeking to adapt similar approaches.
  • Strengthen knowledge exchange and collaboration between KIAEL, ECDAN, and the global early childhood development community.
