On October 30, 2025 a learning webinar will explore why children must be placed at the center of global climate action ahead of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 30). While children are the least responsible for climate change, they are also the most vulnerable to its effects. Yet, their needs and voices remain largely absent from global climate policies and negotiations.
By highlighting evidence that investing in children—from early childhood through adulthood—builds resilience and strengthens climate responses, the webinar will contribute to a deeper understanding of how child-centered approaches can shape national and international climate agendas.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn why COP is critical to the child rights agenda, explore policy and financing opportunities at both global and national levels, and hear examples of advocacy efforts led by organizations such as UNICEF, Alana Institute, and the Child Rights International Network. They will also gain tools, messages, and resources to strengthen their own advocacy for children in climate policy.
