With the SDG mid-point soon upon us, there is an urgent need to accelerate action to achieve universal access to quality pre-primary education under Sustainable Development Goal 4.2, especially as gains have been eroded during the pandemic. One key strategy is to prioritize pre-primary education/early childhood education (ECE) so that it is systematically integrated into and strengthened within national budgets, cycles of education sector planning, and policy implementation.
The ECE Accelerator Toolkit is a key resource that can support this approach and strengthen countries’ capacity to better analyze, plan and implement quality ECE programs at scale. Launched in 2021, the toolkit is a user-friendly “living platform” that contains technical guidance and tools, which can be adapted and contextualized to effectively support countries in the mainstreaming of ECE into national sector plans and budgets.
Recently, new sections of the toolkit have been developed to help advocates and governments with implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. This webinar, co-hosted by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), UNICEF, and ECDAN, will share insights on how the ECE Accelerator Toolkit has been used to date and provide an overview of the new tools that are now available.
If you are interested in hearing case study examples and lessons learned from countries that have practically used the ECE Accelerator Toolkit, this webinar is for you! Come and learn how the latest tools might be helpful in scaling up ECC in your own country context.
