ECDAN is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, that will discuss what we mean by systems thinking, and how can it be applied to service delivery and policy design. During the webinar, a powerful new tool called the Childcare Systems Map will be launched, which can be used by stakeholders to guide how childcare services are designed and delivered, as well as inform advocacy plans.
The Childcare Systems Map was co-created by members of ECDAN’s Systems Thinking for ECD Collaborative—comprising seven leading childcare organizations. The collaborative members will share their insights on systems thinking, explain how they are using the map in their countries, and offer lessons they’ve learned on the journey. The discussion will also feature partners selected to implement ECDAN’s new Childcare Advocacy, Research, and Engagement (CARE) Initiative, who will launch advocacy campaigns in Bangladesh, South Africa, and Tanzania to strengthen childcare systems.
The conversation will inspire and equip participants with tools, examples, and strategies to drive systemic change, foster stakeholder collaboration, and build capacity to address gaps in the childcare system in their country context.
