This in-person event will be part of the Greening Education Hub at COP28 in Dubai on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
ECDAN will partner will UNICEF and ARNEC to co-host this panel discussion. The event will highlight why young children are the most vulnerable to the impact of climate change and demonstrate how Early Childhood Development can be a strategic enabler to climate change resilience as well as a key building block to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
The speakers will showcase how governments are incorporating ECD interventions in their countries and strengthen the investment case for integrating ECD into greening education. We will also hear from parents and youth advocates as champions for young children to discuss the need for a coordinated advocacy movement.
At its conclusion, this event will present a regional report that reveals the importance of early childhood development in addressing climate change.
