On September 22, 2026 – The 81st United Nations General Assembly is a pivotal opportunity to put the early years at the heart of the global agenda for human capital, equity and sustainable development.
Act For Early Years partners will convene a high-level event to accelerate country-led action and investment for the youngest children and their families — and build momentum towards the first-ever Global Early Years Finance Summit in 2027.
The Summit will be a landmark global moment to mobilise investment, celebrate leadership and accelerate action. Built around a country-led model, it will support national and city governments to define their own priorities, develop financing roadmaps and make practical, measurable commitments backed by domestic resources and international partnerships.
This UNGA session will spotlight how countries and cities are already turning ambition into action through innovative financing, policy reform and effective service delivery — demonstrating what is possible now and building the political momentum, partnerships and ambition needed for 2027.
Participants will hear from world leaders, ministers, agency heads, foundation leaders, and civil society champions who are driving transformational change. Together, we can unlock every child’s potential and build a stronger, more equitable world.
