ECDAN

After its inception, ECDAN was requested by the G20 to make resources, guidance, evidence, and lessons learned related to early childhood development accessible to all.

The ECD Knowledge Gateway serves as a central point for implementers, policymakers, researchers, and advocates to learn from what others are doing by providing links to the latest reports, guidelines, case studies, and more.

Cost of Inaction Tool

The Cost of Inaction Tool was developed by ECDAN partners as an advocacy resource. It is an online calculator that can quantify the potential economic benefits lost by failing to invest in early childhood interventions. Parameters can be adjusted and the results displayed in different ways—in dollars, as a percentage of GDP, and as a benefit:cost ratio. The simulation pulls available data from 185 countries and all regions of the world.

ECDAN’s collaborative initiatives have generated additional resource materials and guidance.

Learn more about these initiatives and access materials on specific topics such as parenting, childcare, measurement of ECD outcomes, and more to guide your policy and programming work.
