Erum has extensive experience of scaling up education interventions both nationally in Bangladesh and globally. She was involved in the expansion of the unique BRAC-run Non-Formal Primary (NFP) Schools in the 1990s. More recently, BRAC’s globally recognized Play Labs and Humanitarian Play Labs have been developed under her leadership. These programs focus on improving early stimulation, children’s wellbeing, and parental engagement. Mariam completed her doctorate degree in education from Cambridge University.
